Food Services Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a Type A lunch?

A: A Type A lunch consists of:

  • 2 oz. Meat
  • 1-1/2 servings of Bread or grain
  • 4 oz. Vegetable
  • 4 oz. Fruit or equivalent
  • 8 oz. Milk

Q: May I purchase lunch tickets for my child/children?

A: You may purchase lunch tickets at Stevenson and Edison Intermediate Middle Schools only. If you want to pay for lunches in advance, you may pay by using e-Funds online and with cash or check. Make the check payable to Grandview Heights Food Service. Checks and cash should be put in an envelope with the child's name, grade level, and teacher. If you have children at Stevenson Elementary and Edison Intermediate Middle School, you may write one check. Remember to include the children's names, grades, and teachers on the envelope.

You may use the e-Funds online and cash or check to pay for high school lunches. No tickets are sold for high school lunches.

Q: Does my child qualify for free or reduced lunch?

A: You may pick up an eligibility form from any of the school offices, or you can download a the form here.

Q: What should I do if my child has a food allergy?

A: You should notify the school nurse, the school secretary, your child's teacher(s). The nurse notifies the Food Services Department when she receives information about a child's allergy. In addition, at least one staff member in each building is trained in administering an EpiPen®.
