Middle School Band Concert
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010
Grandview Heights High School Auditorium
•Grades 5/6 perform at 6:00 p.m. (report 5:45 to GHS)
•Grades 7/8 perform at 7:00 p.m. (report 6:45 to GHS)
Annex opens at 5:30 so that students may get their instruments and music. Students should be in the high school band room 15 minutes prior to their respective concert time.
Concert Dress for Performers:
Girls: Dress Shoes, Socks/hose, dress slacks or long skirt/dress, blouse/dress shirt.
Boys: Dress Shoes and dark socks, dress slacks, Dress shirt with a collar. (polo type shirt is o.k.) Ties are optional but encouraged.

MatchCounts!
The Edison Intermediate/Middle School MathCounts Team competed at the Regional competition on February 20th. Over 350 middle school students participated from 52 different schools.

OAA Practice
OAA Practice!
Beginning the first week of March, there will be an after-school opportunity for students to practice and review for their Ohio Achievement Assessment in Reading. Throughout March and April, Mrs. Miglesz, the 8th grade Language Arts teacher, will be working with 6th and 7th graders from 3:15-4:00 pm on Tuesdays, and with 8th graders from 3:15-4:00 pm on Thursdays. Students will be working on test-taking skills as well as content for the Reading Achievement Assessment. This is open to all students, whether they did not do as well as they hoped to last year, or they just want some extra help and practice. Snacks will be provided after school in Mrs. Miglesz’s classroom beginning Tuesday, March 2nd for these sessions. There is no reservation required; students may simply show up after school on these days!

8th Grade Class Video
8th Grade Class Video 8th grade class video - We need pictures of your student and classmates by Friday, April 9, 2010. A video slide show (DVD) of the pictures of the 8th grade class will be produced for each student for the 8th grade Recognition Night. Each student will receive a complementary copy. If you would like your child(s) photos included on the DVD please provide any photos you wish to share. *Printed color photos (with students name on back of each picture, in a envelope with students name) - dropped off in the Middle School office, in a box labeled for 8th grade event. (photos will be returned the night of the ceremony).
