Rosa Parks- A black woman arrested when not moving to the back of a bus. After that for 381 days african americans boycotted the busses. In 1956 the colored sections on the busses were removed.

Malcolm X- Malcolm was appointed as a minister and national spokesman for the Nation of Islam. Malcolm went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Malcolm's assassins, Talmadge Hayer, Norman 3X Butler and Thomas 15X Johnson were convicted of first-degree murder in March 1966.

Greensboro Sit Ins- Four freshman students were told they wouldnt be served at th restrant, then refused to leave. They kept doing that because they did not want segregation.
