Commentary
The civil rights for African American people have changed a lot over the past 75 years. There is still racism in America but there is not as much as there was and it is not as bad. People are still judged by the color of their skin by some people but now more and more people are thinking that everyone is equal no matter what color their skin is. There is prejudice is America, some people assume that since some one is African American they are bad. On the other hand there are some prejudices that are not as bad, such as, African Americans are more athletic than other races. Though there is still some of racism and prejudice there are things that are beneficial to be part of a minority. For example some colleges make it easier to get into their school because they are a part of a certain minority. Also everyone is equal if you look at it from the law stand point it does not matter what you look like everyone has the same rights. I think that over the past 75 year a lot of things have changed for African American people and what rights they have.
